Hyatt Regency Sha Tin is one of 3 Hyatt Hotel collections in HK. It is not centrally located but it is very convenient to go to central HK by the MTR (the University Station is 2 mins walk). They also provide a shuttle service to Kowloon Station for the Airport check in & Airport Express, and to the Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Tsui. The other 2 Hyatt Hotels (Hyatt Regency Tsim Sha Shui & The Grand Hyatt) are normally quite expensive considering of the location the are in. I booked this hotel using Hyatt Gold Passport points (12000 points per night) or  HK$935 (£85) if you booked way in advanced, which is quite a bargain. The are a few shops near the MTR station and also a couple of Chinese restaurants. Taxi from the airport cost me about HK$400 and about 45mins drive with traffic.

I got a surprise when I opened the door to my room. They have upgraded me to a junior suite! The view from the window was just stunning, overlooking the Tolo Harbour and  Kau To Shan mountains. Resort hotel leisure facilities include Melo Spa, 25-metre outdoor heated swimming pool and whirlpool, tennis court and Fitness Centre with steam and sauna offering fitness membership, and Camp Hyatt for children.

The room came with Regency Club access when they have complementary drinks between 5.30pm -8pm and also complimentary breakfast. between 6.30am -10.30am. 

I would definitely come back here again the next time I’m in HK.
