Grand Hyatt Santiago is located in an exclusive district of the Chilean capital, Las Condes, known for shops and tourism. The location is good, next to the shopping mall, walking distance to the subway, easy access to busses and shops. The hop-on-hop-off stop was just few blocks away near the mall.
Check-in: I took an Uber taxi from Hyatt Place Vitacura, about 7mins away, and arrived slightly early at about 10am. I asked the lady at the desk if I could check in now and apologised as I was really early. She was more than happy to check me in provided that a room is ready. After a few clicks on her computer, she was delighted to tell me that a room is ready for me on the Club Floor. she also told me that the Club Lounge is just one floor below. Perfect!
The room: The room was on the 17th floor and was bigger than i expected. It has a split level in the middle of the room where the desk was a couple of steps down. It gives you a bigger sense of space. the view was stunning, overlooking the Andes.
Facilities: I managed to use the gym for about an hour and it is located on the same building as the spa, across the outdoor swimming pool. The gym was big enough with all the fitness equipment. The swimming pool was big with so many levels and its good if you have kids. There were also 3 main restaurants.
Breakfast & Club Lounge: I didn’t use the main restaurant for breakfast but I managed to have breakfast at the Club Lounge. The selection of hot and cold food were excellent. The hostess was polite and asked me straight away if I want a made-to-order hot breakfast. I declined and decided to have scrambled eggs and salmon & some fruits instead. The view from the lounge was stunning and the lounge was not particularly busy on that morning.

All in all, it was a great hotel with exceptional staff. Although my visit was pretty short, I enjoyed the warm welcome and the location of the hotel.
