Hyatt has 2 hotels in Santiago. One of them is the Grand Hyatt Santiago and the other is Hyatt Place Santiago. They both close to each other, about 5mins drive between them. It was about 20mins drive from the airport to the Vitacura area.
Check-in: Check in was straight forward. The check in area was actually on the 12th floor. The check in lady acknowledged my Hyatt Diamond member and upgraded me to a suite. My room was located on the 9th floor.
Room: The room was massive and overlooking the mountains. It was divided into 2 areas. One for the bedroom itself and one for the lounge with a small kitchenette. There were 2 bathrooms and 2 TVs in the room.
Facilities: Hyatt Place Santiago has a fitness area equipped with a pool and a small gym. The gym was basic but adequate. The fitness area was located on the 13th floor. There was no restaurant but a kitchen facility where you could order snacks or drinks. There was a dining section that serves as a breakfast area in the morning too. Outside, there was a supermarket nearby and a restaurant. There was also a small shopping area behind the hotel.
Breakfast: Buffet breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold food. I opted for scrambled eggs with some toasts and a cup of tea.
Check out: Check out was easy enough. Because I paid with points/cash combo, the room rate was only USD$55 +
Verdict: I would definitely stay at this Hyatt again.
