Arrive: 0750hr
Duration: 8hr 50min
Aircraft: Airbus 330-300
Seat: 8A (Business Class)
Iberia’s A330-300 aircraft is one of the first in its fleet to be outfitted with its upgraded Business Class product featuring flat-bed seating. This aircraft operates on long-haul routes with 42 seats in Business Plus, and 278 seats in Economy Class, which Iberia refers to as Tourist Class. Β All the flat-bed seats in Business Class have direct access to the aisle. My seat was 8A which is the best seat on the plane. It was a bulkhead seat and more private than other Business Class seats. It was located in the Business Class mini-cabin, separated from other premium passengers. My seat faced outwards towards the window too as you could see from the diagram below.

I was quite surprised with the quality of food. The service was prompt and I quite like the wine list. The pate was delicious and the halibut cooked to perfection. I was a bit wary about the food on Iberia because the last time I was on a long-haul flight with Iberia was about 8 years ago and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. I was pleased to see that they have improved tremendously over the past few years.
We arrived in Madrid Barajas Airport on time. My next flight to London was in 2 hours so i had plenty of time to mooch around and do a bit of window shopping. The airport is massive and I just love this airport. The design is just so beautiful. You got to love the ceiling!
