Review: Hyatt Centric South Beach, Miami

Hyatt Centric South Beach Miami is in the heart of South Beach on Collins Avenue, and is across the street from Miami’s famed beach. The hotel blends the city’s Art Deco architecture with modern design, featuring a 10-story glass tower with 105 guest rooms. Hyatt Centric is a new unique lifestyle concept from Hyatt Hotels that puts it in between Andaz and Hyatt Place.

The Lobby is actually on the 3rd floor. The hotel calls it The Library and you do your checking in here.

I got upgraded to a corner, ‘sea-view’ room which was great. The room was big and the bed was comfy enough. The decor reminds me of Andaz Hotels, very modern, functional and unique.

My ‘sea-view’ through a small gap!

The pool was on the same level as the Lobby. It was not too big but adequate. Hey, who needs a pool when you have South Beach 3mins walk from your hotel!

The gym is on the street level. You have to go out of the hotel and there is a small door to your left. The gym is see-through from the street. Just use your key-card to get in. Just a few modern gym equipment and the size is not that big either.

Lincoln Rd

I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again due to its location: its near the beach and  Lincoln Rd shopping areas where you have bars and restaurants nearby. Uber ride from this hotel to the Miami Airport cost me about $18.
