This post is a continuation from my last post DUB-JFK-MIA. I arrived in MIA as a domestic passenger since all the US Pre Check was done at the Dublin Airport. My next flight to Sint Maarten was the next day (since I arrived in Miami in the late afternoon), I booked myself at the Hyatt Centric South Beach just for one night. I will review this hotel in my next post.
I booked a return ticketย from Miami to Sint Maarten using 20 000 Avios + ยฃ52 taxes. Not a bad price considering it was a 3 hour journey. The journey to the Netherlands Antilles was spectacular. The view was breathtaking as you could see the pictures below.
Princess Juliana Airport in Sint Maarten is THE airport to go to if you are an aviation geek like me. The runway is very close to the beach so you could have a very good view of any airplanes making an approach to the airport.

The best time to go and have a good view is between 11am until about 2pm. This is the time when wide body aircrafts from Amsterdam and Paris CDG are arriving. You could also watch flights from Miami and JFK arriving on Boeing 737s around this time too.
